About the Course

Creating safe and affirming spaces requires more than good intentions. It requires shared language, thoughtful reflection, practical tools, and a commitment to showing up differently. This self-paced course is designed for professionals, educators, staff, supervisors, administrators, and organizational leaders who want to better support LGBTQIA+ colleagues, students, clients, and community members. Throughout the course, you will explore LGBTQIA+ vocabulary, the history of advocacy, pronoun use, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and the ways harmful assumptions can show up in everyday interactions.
